I'm trying to upgrade a cluster from CDH-5.6.0-1.cdh5.6.0.p0.45 to the newly released 5.7.0-1 Unfortunatly the cloudera manager tells me, that i first have to upgrade the cm-version to 5.7.0 (see error below).

Error for parcel CDH-5.7.0-1.cdh5.7.0.p0.45-el6.parcel : Parcel version 5.7.0-1.cdh5.7.0.p0.45 is not supported by this Cloudera Manager. Upgrade Cloudera Manager to at least 5.7.0 before using this parcel version.

I'm using an enterprise licence, so i tought i could do a roling minor version update.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Cloudera Manager 5.6 doesn't understand CDH 5.7. You need to upgrade to Cloudera Manager 5.7, then you can upgrade CDH to CDH 5.7. This is required regardless of license.

I followed the steps to upgrade the CM-Version and solved the "problem".
