MySQL Master/Slave configuration not allowed

From the installation docs:

• Cloudera Manager installation fails if GTID-based replication is enabled in MySQL.

So no master/slave MySQL setup allowed? Am I reading that correctly? Or are certian replication formats not allowed?

Let me answer my own question... Replication using Mariadb works.
