Next step towards starting to learn HDP after deploying Sandbox image

Hello, I am a Hadoop newbie and would like to get some guidance on whether there are any tutorials you have that I can work on to get started with Hadoop.

My background - 28 years+ experience working in the Oracle space - dev to DBA to Architecture with no Java skills to boot. I am looking to get into the Hadoop and Big Data hadoop administration realm.

I understand the Big Data challenge, the concepts, HDFS, Yarn, MR, Pig, Hive, Sqoop, Ambari, Kafka etc.Would love to get my hands dirty using the above technologies/frameworks.

I have successfully installed the Sandbox VM and wondering what next!

Hi @Sridhar Subramaniam. The best place to start is with the large number of tutorials you can find here. https://github.com/hortonworks/tutorials/tree/hdp-2.5/tutorials/hortonworks

Once you feel comfortable then you can begin experimenting with data sets at work or online like www.data.gov.
