Postgresql for Ambari not starting

You may be running into an SELinux issue. Tail /var/log/messages when you try to start Postgresql to see if you can get more information on the problem.

had to uninstall ambari

Then I manually installed postgresql, chmod on the directories and ran sysctl enable and started postgresql
