SAS -Connecting to Hive 1.2.1 from SAS 9.3 using odbc driver

Can we connect to hive 1.2.1 from SAS 9.3 using odbc driver?If yes what are steps?

Yes. Get ODBC driver from http://hortonworks.com/downloads. You have ODBC driver for multiple OS targets. Once you get the driver, you can follow documentation from http://hortonworks.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Hortonworks-Hive-ODBC-Driver-User-Guide.pdf to setup ODBC driver.

Once you set ODBC driver, you can connect to this from SAS like any other ODBC driver.
