Unable to connect to beeline

I am trying to connect to beeline.

Getting the below error messege:-

 

# /usr/lib/hive/bin/beeline
-hiveconf (No such file or directory)

Beeline version 0.12.0-cdh5.1.2 by Apache Hive
beeline>

I am not able trace what I am missing here.

 

Any help is appreciated.

The issue got resolved after I configured the Hive gateway server in the edge node.

Hi,

 

I had the same issue on HUE connecting to  jdbc:hive2://localhost:10000

 

Have you installed hive-server2 ?

 

 

ps -aux | grep hive-server2
