What are the all things I should do in HIVE cluster?

We have 3 server clusters and I am start exploring HIVE. I have already done basis things now for more hands on experience what are the all things I should do.

If possible please provide links from where I can download data for processing.

I also like to mess around with the movielens dataset http://grouplens.org/datasets/movielens/. If you want to explore more indepth and relevant datasets, you can look around at www.data.gov.
