dose during HDP upgrade to 2.6.4 version safemode should be ON ? , or OFF

Safemode can be OFF during the upgrade.

I ask this because during downgrade we get - "On host master02.sys72.com role JOURNALNODE in invalid state". so I was thinking if it safemode wrong state , do you have idea why - JOURNALNODE in invalid state ?

Need to look at the Journal node logs. To fix JN, You can simply copy the data from another good JN and start it.
