i am unable to login in shell in a box using root/hadoop

Hi,

I'm using the HDP 2.3.2 sandbox. I access to it using an IP adress in my browser. The Ambari view works just fine and i can access Hue using the credentials given by Hortonworks.

However, the built-in-web SSH client "Shell in a box" doesn't allow me access when i use "root" as login and "hadoop" as password.

Any thoughts?

Thank you in advance

Hello,

I have the same problem. First I logged on to the sandbox and have to change the default password "hadoop" to my preferred on. Logon is possible:

Next I tried to logged on via the web shell "ip-adr:4200" but the password was not accepted:

Also not possible via putty port 22:

ssh in the sandbox is possible:

The Access rights:

Any ideas?
