Add custom service into cloudera manager

Hi All, 

I am new to cloudera, and I just wonder if it is possible to add a custom service(such as Apache Zeppelin or Apache Falcon ) into cloudera manager. Then the health status of the custom service can be monitored by cloudera manager just like the HDFS service, Hive service shown in picture below.

I have been looking for something similar and came across this blog post and accompanying git repo

Its a bit old so I don't know if this is still the supported way of doing this
