Add new hosts failure: No packages found matching oracle-j2sdk1.6.

I have sucessfully installed Cloudera Manager 5.3.0 using the cloudera-manager-installer.bin. But my attempts to add other hosts to cluster have been unsuccessful, with the main probelm seemingly in attempting to install oracle-j2sdk1.6 package and not being able to find it:

Hi Gautam,

Apology for my delayed response.

Below are the answer to the queries that you have asked for:

 1) I am using Path A(.bin installer) for the cluster installation

 2) This is new cluster, but there are 4 node(identical in configuration) that I am using and 2 of them are getting this error and 2 of ending in successfull installation of the packages.

Hi Gautam,

Do we have any update on resolving the issue?

After dealing with the issue for quite some days, it seems that the issue might in the OS itself.

We are thinking of switching to a different OS other than Ubuntu.

So it will be very much helpful if you could let us know the best compatible OS (other than RHEL and Ubuntu) for CDH 5.x

I have the list of OS and it's version supported by CDH 5.x available with, still if you could guide us in selecting the OS having lesser issue while installig cloudera.

We did have a few issues with our CDN that serves requests to
archive.cloudera.com. Are you able to try again please? Can you also tell
us if a direct wget/curl of the deb file works or not?

Same issues still exist to me. I'm using Ubuntu 14 and Clouderam Manager 5.5. It passes the installation of j2sdk1.7 and right after that it complains "dpkg-query no packages found matching cloudera-manager-agent".

This is a new virtualbox based new cluster. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Got it working by switching to Ubuntu 12. Not sure what's happening here.
