After the hdp cluster was shut down because of maintenance now the metrics widgets are no longer displaying correctly.
The Metrics Collector and the Metrics Monitors are running with no issues and the time seems to be in sync. So I have no real idea what could be the problem.
Any help is very much appreciated.

Can you try to re-start Metrics Collector, Monitor or Ambari agent?

Thanks @Divakar Annapureddy, earlier I restarted all together which didn't help but restarting the Metrics Monitors one by one worked.

1. Can you check if the Ambari metrics process is running properly and is displayed in "ps -aef |grepm ambari" output
2. Check the ambari metrics logs and see if you are able to see any error - /var/log/ambari-metrics*
3. Is this a test environment ? Check if there are any memory constrains on this box.
