Can I run Sqoop from a Windows machine to load data from DB2[AIX] to HDFS [Linux]

New Contributor

I am on CDH 5.13 and trying to run sqoop from my Windows server machine to load the data from DB2 database to Hadoop. I can not use sqoop2 as its deprecated and it is not available for me. Is there any other way to accomplish this ?  Thanks in Advance

It is important to know what sqoop does and how the import works. The data import is not realized on the machine where you launch the command, but on the hadoop worker nodes where you have node managers. So the Hadoop cluster must have a connectivity to DB2.
