Cloudera Manager Server Stopped on VM

New Contributor

Hi Support,

We are able to set up CM Server based on your given procedure "Installation Path A - Automated Installation by Cloudera Manager". And it is now up and running . However, we have some difficulties on some service to access it. And every time we stopped and then start  the vm on our azure there is an error when we access the hadoop fs -ls / failed connection. How can we resolve that issue? Please assist us. Thank you

Hi @GangWar ,
First, we fresh started the CM server.
Second, when we restarted, there were two display message, and we tried to restart the service on the left side.
Third, we've encountered and error when trying to start the services on HDFS.

This is my first time trying to set up the CM Server, and i'm new on it. And i want to understand how it works.
Hope you could help us on fixing this.

Thank you so much.

Hi @csbam ,

I think first thing you need to make sure is if the cluster host is healthy. Please click the 1 Hosts link on the home page (like shown below) and then capture the Hosts page screenshot. It is important to make sure the host is healthy. On that Hosts page, run the "Inspect Hosts in Cluster" and send us the result. Also, check the /etc/hosts file to make sure the host IP and hostname are defined correctly there.

Another thing is the services are showing critical health issues on the CM UI. You may need to check each one to find out what the issues are. Please refer to the doc with some usage information about CM Admin console home page:

Thanks,
