I am trying to install cloudera on machines with fips enabled and because of this the install keeps failing. Specifically because the version of open ssl with fips enabled doesn't allow for md5. My question is there a specific process for installing a cloudera cluster on a machine with fips enabled?

There is a work in progress Jira that aims to make all the Cloudera software (including CM agent, Hue etc) use only FIPS-compliant crypto algorithms. Just it is not in place as of this writing.
