Confirm Host step always fails.

I wanted to create a cluster in Ambari but unfortunately at the "Confirm hosts" step I could not register my nodes due to following exception:

Exception: Registration failed due to: Cannot register host with not supported os type, hostname=ip6-localhost, serverOsType=ubuntu18, agentOsType=ubuntu18

Is it because i am using ubuntu 18.04?

@Udhav What version of ambari/hdp are you trying to work with?

ambari 2.7.0 and hdp is 3.0

What repo did you add to your ubuntu server?

HDP 3 should have repos for ubuntu 18:

Here is Ambari 2.7.4 (last of the repos before moved behind paywall) main link for Repos:

When you get the right 2.7.4 repos you will be able to install in Ubuntu 18.
