ConsumeMQTT processor in Nifi Clustered: is the sensor data processed twice?

New Contributor

Hi,

I am wondering whether nifi (1.6+) clustered with zookeeper as explained in the admin docs, would be smart enough to process the information from the MQTT broker only one node at a time, despite the fact that all nodes are subscribed.

Does anyone know?

Thank you

I don't believe so, I think you'd need ConsumeMQTT to run on the Primary Node Only, then use RPG -> Input Port to distribute the messages among the NiFi cluster nodes.
