I downloaded the subject file twice. Both downloads are identical when compared. Both downloads fail to import with:
Failed to import appliance C:/Users/myid/Downloads/HDF_22.214.171.124_virtualbox_01_18_2018.ova.
Error reading OVA 'C:/Users/myid/Downloads/HDF_126.96.36.199_virtualbox_01_18_2018.ova' (VERR_TAR_UNEXPECTED_EOS).
|Result Code:||VBOX_E_IPRT_ERROR (0x80BB0005)|
Your download of Sandbox might be corrupted.
So once your download completes the please match the MD5 sum result of the downloaded file with the one mentioned in the "Hortonworks DataFlow (HDF) 3.0.2 on Hortonworks Sandbox" Download section:
The MD5 of downloaded file and the URL mentioned should match.
Thanks, Jay Kumar. On your advice, I checked the MD5 hash.
The MD5 value from the download page: eaadf00b49bf7f088e4f7f3d30adbaa5
The MD5 value from Windows CertUtil -hashfile: eaadf00b49bf7f088e4f7f3d30adbaa5
Any other thoughts?
As I cannot get the HDF sandbox to work and the installation instructions for HDF on HDP appear to no longer work I am having to do my POC on Apache Hadoop and NiFi instead of Hortonworks. It will be good knowledge and experience.
