HDF data disk partition question

Hi,

Customer have a 10 Node HDF cluster and want configure it and want to know the partition recommendations for data disks, what RAID technology should be apply? to get better performance in the future.

Each node have 2*600GB HDD for OS using RAID 1.

There are 12*4TB on each node, should there be 12 partition 4 TB each 4tb disk will have one partition. Any performance issue?
