How much time does Ambari take to set up a cluster? It fails often. Is there any free alternative?

New Contributor

Ambari takes too much time to install components. Is's been 2 hours at step 10 and completed only 3 components. It failed once while installing Hbase Client because of timeout of 1800 sec. I reduced it to 600 sec.

Kindly reply. Thank You..

Note: My internet speed is 3 Mbps.

Did you retry when it was shown timeout from Ambari. It will try to install the failed components again. Also, INCREASING the timeout may help, if the download was in progress. See if that helps.
