How to connect to Hive using Kerberos from QlikSense?

New Contributor

I would like to connect to Hartonworks Hive table which uses Kerberos authentication from QlikSense. The default Apache Hive connector provided doesn't have option for Kerberos authentication.

Any help on this is welcome!

Thank you!

Hi Geoffrey,

Stuck bit with the driver configuration. We are already using "Hartonworks Hive ODBC Driver" and compared to the set up information of that, in Progress Data Direct Connnect, configuration is bit varying and I didn't succeed yet connecting to Hive.

Specifically for example, we have Realm, FQDN like information in existing driver, where these information can't be given to "Progress Data Direct Connect" driver it seems.

Do you have any idea of this?

Thank you!

Krishna.
