Can you please provide the Sandbox version?
If you are using the HDP 2.4 SB then you need to use the corresponding tutorial:
which doesn't include the Hive upload table option.

Please confirm that your issue is identical to https://community.hortonworks.com/storage/attachments/7739-ambari-issue-1.jpg which is described in greater detail in https://community.hortonworks.com/questions/56938/sandbox-hello-udp-lab-test-2-issue.html#comment-57...
Which hosting envt is your sandbox in (VirtualBox or Azure) and any other details.

@gkeys This is NOT the same issue as mentioned in https://community.hortonworks.com/storage/attachments/7739-ambari-issue-1.jpg.
In my case, 'Upload Table' tab ( or option ) is not there at all.
Also, please note i am using Oracle VM VirtualBox. And my browser is Google Chrome Version 53.0.2785.116 m.
Also, i tried using IE Version 11, same issue.

One more thing ... a new version of the sandbox was released on Friday. (It is 2.5 GA, not the previous 2.5 TP). If you downloaded your sandbox before Friday, please download the new one and try again. Otherwise, please let me know that you have the recent GA version.

I selected the Upload Table of the Ambari Hive View, but I do not have the options to "Upload from Local" or " Upload from HDFS". The below screenshot shows the issue I am currently facing:
http://127.0.0.1:8080/#/main/views/HIVE/1.0.0/AUTO_HIVE_INSTANCE
I have tried with IE11 and Google Chrome as well, but still same issue. I am using Sandbox with HDP 2.4 on Oracle VM VirtualBox.
Any help?

can you post a screen shot?
Perhaps it's security permissions
make sure your user dir is created and has permissions

I created the user 'asb' in 'Manage Ambari' page, but could not give it admin permissions. Also, '/user/asb' dir is created and 'chown' to asb as well. But still unable to 'su - asb'. Although i can login to Ambari but with virtually no permissions.
[root@sandbox ~]# hdfs dfs -ls /user
/user/ambari-qa drwxr-xr-x - asb hdfs 0 2016-09-25 02:16 /user/asb
