How do we reset or fetch the password for cloudera-scm which is used to start the services using backend on server. We somehow missed or not configured the password, please help.

We need these details in order to start the manager, agent and CDH services on our own.

@swapko

Check the password in

# cat /var/lib/cloudera-scm-server-db/data/generated_password.txt

You can refer to the following doc for more info

Our Cloudera manager version is 6.3 and our scm database is oracle.

We donot have below directory:

/var/lib/cloudera-scm-server-db/

We have below on the serevr where cloudera scm server is installed:

-bash-4.2$ cd /var/lib/cloudera-scm-server/
-bash-4.2$ ls -lrt
total 0
drwxr-x---. 3 commgxs commgxs 22 Mar 5 05:25 temp
drwxr-x---. 16 commgxs commgxs 157 Apr 6 17:32 commands
drwxr-x---. 3 commgxs commgxs 38 Apr 7 04:53 search
-bash-4.2$

Is there any way that we can get the credentials from scm database configs?

Please advise

We have db.properties over there for the Cloudera manager scm database credentials but no other password.
