Hi I got a random message on telegram asking if I was available wen I asked for wot I got told I’d receive a WhatsApp message , I did from a man saying he wanted to give me details on a job anyway wen I didn’t rely he kept midering so I asked for details he told me I needed to register see first photo wen I clicked on it and looked at the terms it says (see second photo) so I told him it looked like a scam and he told me to just register so I looked into it and joined u to find out wot is going on

As mentioned by @DianaTorres in this thread, if you look at Cloudera's Careers page you will see the "about us" area on the right side of the page. In this section you will find the below wording:

We care about the security and privacy of our candidates, for that reason here are a few tips to follow.

Cloudera Recruiters will:

Never ask you to engage in conversations that are not over the phone, email or linkedIn

Only use @cloudera.com email accounts

Never ask you about your age, gender, religion

Never ask you to submit over email any identifying information including social security numbers, drivers license passport numbers or credit card numbers

Never send a contract or job offer without first having an interview with Cloudera HR

If you have received recruiting communications that appear suspicious, please forward the suspicious emails to security@cloudera.com

Hi Dawn,

Yes, I got approached and got scammed out of a significant amount of money. Reported to authorities so I'll see what they find out.
