Hi,
 
I have these errors in my  cloudera manager.
 
General Error(s)
  • Port conflict detected: 9092 (TCP Port) is also used by: Kafka Broker (instance-1-cdh-hadoop). 
     
  • Port conflict detected: 9092 (Advertised Port) is also used by: Kafka Broker (instance-1-cdh-hadoop). 

 

 

I'm also unable to consume messages after running producer/consumer on a single node.

 

I have the following properties:

 

Creating topic:

kafka-topics --create --zookeeper localhost:2181 --partitions 1 --replication-factor 1 --topic msgtopic

 

 

Strating Prodcuer:

kafka-console-producer --broker-list 127.0.0.1:9092 --topic msgtopic

 

 

Starting consumber

kafka-console-consumer --bootstrap-server 127.0.0.1:9092 --topic msgtopic

 

 

 

Kafka Properties:

  1. listeners=PLAINTEXT://<MY GC INTERNAL IP>:9092
  2. advertised.listeners=PLAINTEXT://34.70.106.130:9092

Thank you for posting your query.

 

From the Error messages posted, it looks the agent complains on ports as it detects the conflicting usage of port between 2 services. Do you have multiple Kafka services (Like different set of Kafka brokers) added and managed by same Cloudera Manager ?
