Node manager bad health and its down

As i am getting the following error and my node manager is down

The ResourceManager considers this NodeManager unhealthy and will not use it.NodeManager health report: ' 1/1 log-dirs are bad: /var/log/hadoop-yarn/container'.

Kindly help.......

Hi @Nawaz,

Check out Node Manager logs and look for WARN message similar to below :

WARN org.apache.hadoop.yarn.server.nodemanager.DirectoryCollection: Directory /var/log/hadoop-yarn/container error, used space above threshold of 90.0%, removing from list of valid directories 

 This will give you more insights and reason why you are getting those health alerts and take corrective action.
