Phoenix Query Server Shutdown inexpectedly

Phoenix Query Server Shutdown inexpectedly

Rising Star

Hi,

After enabling Hive LLAP and doing some property change https://hortonworks.com/hadoop-tutorial/interactive-sql-hadoop-hive-llap/ , Phoenix Query Server become unable to stay on, it shutdown after few seconds of restarting. It start successfully but it shutdown automatically after few seconds.

Any idea please? Thank you.

Re: Phoenix Query Server Shutdown inexpectedly

This should not be happening. Hive LLAP and the Phoenix Query Server are separate processes and are unaware of each other. They do share some same component usage (notably, ZooKeeper).

Can you please share the exception you see from PQS in the logs when it stops?

Super Collaborator

That may happen if PQS is already running.

try to run

ps -aef|grep queryserver

to check it. You may kill it and start again using Ambari.

If it's not there, check the logs for the exception. You may find it at

/var/log/hbase/phoenix-hbase-server.log
