Dear All,
I have an issue when I want to use Euro Sign € in Hive Client (also in Hive View). When I put it in HiveCl, automatically the console replace it by '???'. When I quit Hive and I put the Euro Sign directly in the Putty console, I have not the problem.
My config is :
Linux Redhat 6.5
Putty in UTF-8
HDP 2.5
Ambari 2.4.1
Could you help me because I 'm blocking since 3 days and I don't find a solution ?
King Regards
Gerald

Dear All,
I found the issue. It was a bad configuration of LANG on Linux : the file /etc/sysconfig/i18n contained "LANG='C'" instead of "LANG="en_US.UTF-8";
Best Regards

I think this related to https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-18284
Fixed in 2.5.

Hi Mugdha,
Thank's for your quick answer.
But the issue is not only on Ambari View but also in Hive CLI.
