RAM replacement procedure in cloudera

Contributor

Hello All,

We have setup 3-node cloudera hadoop cluster CDH 5.4 but having 16GB RAM only.

So planning to add more RAM to each node, but as all slots are used, the option available is to replace RAM by higher value RAM.

Can you please let me know RAM replacement procedure?

Also wanted to know whether will it have any impact on in-memory data as don't want to lose current data and how to check that.

Please suggest.

Thanks,

Priya

Hi,

RAM memory don´t save data, you can stop cluster and replace this memory. After, restart the cluster and services, your data must be on Datanodes on any Database
