SQL Server Linked Server to HIVE Database Creation Issue

SQL Server Linked Server to HIVE Database Creation Issue

New Contributor

Hi, I have downloaded the ClouderaHive ODBC driver and installed it on the SQL 2016 Server. I created a system DSN using Kerebos and successfully connected to the Hive database.  However, we need a linked server to be created and whenever I try to create it, I get an error message:

The OLE DB provider "MSDASQL" for linked server "HADOOP" reported an error. The provider did not give any information about the error.
Cannot initialize the data source object of OLE DB provider "MSDASQL" for linked server "HADOOP". (.Net SqlClient Data Provider)

I have tried all the different Linked Server security options, but it just won't work.

Can anyone give me some guidance?

Thank you.

Unconstrained signal means you might not have defined set_input

Could you provide me the documentation link which you used to configure this.

Have you done validation on the steps. Did you see any errors on the sql logs ?

I would prefer you to validate the configurations again. If so give right kerberos ticket and see.
