SQOOP/OraOOP: how to avoid granting access to v_$parameter, v_$instance, dba_* views

SQOOP/OraOOP: how to avoid granting access to v_$parameter, v_$instance, dba_* views

New Contributor

Hi guys,

Is it possible to avoid granting access to v_$paramter and v_$instance views for sqoop user for direct import ?

We are happy to provide any parameter values as input parameters for sqoop, but we aren't happy to grant select on system views.

Another question is can we use ALL_* views instead of DBA_* ? for example, ALL_TABLES instead of DBA_TABLES ?

DBA_EXTENTS - is anexception/bad example, as there is no ALL_EXTENTS.
