Sandbox 2.6.3 Docker on Windows ==> Cannot open a hive connection

Hello,

I'm running the HDP 2.6.3 Sandbox (Docker version) on Windows 10. I am able to login to the sandbox, but when I select Hive View or Hive View 2, it runs a preliminary validation (HDFS Check OK, User Home Check OK, ATS Check OK), but HIVE check fails.

The error message I receive: Message: Cannot open a hive connection with connect string jdbc:hive2://sandbox-hdp.hortonworks.com:2181/;serviceDiscoveryMode=zooKeeper;zooKeeperNamespace=hiveserver2;hive.server2.proxy.user=raj_ops

Can someone tell me what the issue could be? I am a beginner in this, so any help is useful.

That message seems to indicate that hive server is down ( if you can verify ). If that's the case, we would need the logs for hive server to further debug. Also note, the docker version is for advanced users, we recommend virtualbox/vmware versions for people that are just beginning.
