The originally-reported problem with the download link leading (back) to the downloads page was resolved as of Thu Dec 26 2019 12:10 PM PST. I've verified that the Hortonworks HDP Download Now button enables the user to download the HDP Sandbox.

@Zac1 Thank you for reporting this. I've been able to reproduce the behavior you've described and earlier today I opened an internal request to have the issue addressed. I'll post back in this thread when I have more information to share.

@ask_bill_brooks thank you so much for your response. i found the below link from a different thread to download HDP sandbox.
https://www.cloudera.com/downloads/hortonworks-sandbox/hdp.html?utm_source=mktg-tutorial
i tried to download all the versions using chrome and IE. i get the errors in the attached image.
i tried google search and tried to fix these error. but result is the same. i m unable to download sandbox.

i also tried to download v2.5 from the below link on chrome:
https://www.cloudera.com/downloads/hortonworks-sandbox/hdp.html
the downloading automatically restarted thrice from the beginning after downloading some 30 or 40mbs each time and at the end gave the error "Failed-Forbidden"

I started a download using that link earlier today, on a (relatively) slow 18Mb-capable DSL line and it completed successfully in less than an hour. I don't have any helpful suggestions other than to try it again and if you still have the same issue, try it again on some other device's internet connection and move the resulting file over to the destination device once you have it.

@ask_bill_brooks while downloading i m facing the following issues:
1. i tried to download on mozilla fire fox, it failed after some 100mbs
2. on chrome, the file starts downloading and after downloading some 30 or 40mbs it restarts downloading from the beginning and it happens thrice before giving the error "Failed-Forbidden"
3. on IE, the browser, after downloading some 30 mbs, notify that the downloading is complete.
4. i tried to download the file using 2 different internet connections and 2 completely different computers.
5. i cleared my cache, turned off chrome's hardware acceleration, logged out from google account, changed the downloading directory etc to avoid the failed-forbidden error but all in vain.
6. following link from google support says about failed-forbidden error:
"This error means you don't have permission to download this file from the server.
To fix, go to the website where the file is hosted. Check if you need to sign in (or provide some other authentication). If you can't sign in, contact the website or server owner, or try finding the file on a different site".
https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/2898334?hl=en
7. i also tried to fix this issue by following the steps mentioned in the below link but nothing happened.:
my downloading speed varies between 300kbps and 1mbps

@ask_bill_brooks thank you so much for your response. the original problem is indeed solved but the error I face while downloading still exists despite the fact that I switched to different computers. internet connections. but it seems that the server restricts or the link, while downloading, stops responding.
