Using OAuth to Authenicate to Confluent Kafka in Nifi

I need to use OAuth 2.0 to publish messages to a Confluent Kafka topic. NiFi doesn't have support for this out of the box, so before I build my own solution, I was wondering if anyone knew of any solutions currently being used for this that they'd be willing to share, or any existing workaround.

I'm using NiFi version 2.0.0-M4. Thanks
