Hi,
I am looking for the hdp-2.5.0 Sandbox for Azure - currently, only 2.4 is officially available.
Alternatively, could I use the Docker version and run it on a VM?
What we would like to achieve: Run HDP on a VM and send jobs (R Server & Spark) to HDInsight.
Thank you,
Isa

Hi Isa,
Azure HDInsight is powered by HDP. Version of HDP 2.5 is available.
Additionally, at the bottom of this community article you can find scripts (see option 2 ) to install HDP 2.5 on any cloud

Thank you both, I am aware of that, but what I am looking for is the HDP 2.5 Sandbox (I can only find 2.4 currently) that runs on a single VM. See here: http://hortonworks.com/downloads/#sandbox
Can I download the Docker Sandbox version for an Azure VM instead or are there some restrictions?

No restrictions that I'm aware of, but make sure you give it enough RAM.
