For internal networking, you can control the host names that is associated with the other servers IP addresses in /etc/hosts file.

There are two files that needs to be taken care before installing cloudera manager / CDH 

/etc/hosts

/etc/sysconfig/network

change the hostname

logout the terminal and come back do the echo to see if you hostname reflects  

echo $HOSTNAME

ping YOUR_IP_ADR
