how to change the blueprint file from HDP 2.6 to HDP 3.1

hi all

We are using blueprint on HDP 2.6

now we want to install new HDP version - 3.1

the first question is:

can we use the blueprint from HDP 2.6 to HDP 3.1 installation ?

second - what are the change that we need to do in the current blueprint in order to fit it to HDP 3.1 installation ?

YES  I think one can use the 2.6.x blueprint to deploy a 3.x HDP with minimal change one needs to validate the components as there has been chnages bewteen HDP2.6 and 3.x you will need to download the correct versions of Ambari/HDP/gpl repos

Remove components

• Falcon
• Flume
• Mahout
• Slider
• Hue

Change the stack_version

But HDP 3.x gives you the option to download the blueprint which is cool, You run through the configuration and below you deploy you download the blueprint cancel the deployment and use the downloaded blueprint to deploy your new cluster and add it to your deployment git-repo or another library for reusability.
