so my shell in the box was working yesterday, and today, I tried using it and it will not work. Is there any way to get this to work, as I prefer it because of the design and color choice. Please Thanks.

The Sandbox also comes with browser based ssh client (Shell in the box).

First bring up the Sandbox splash screen by entering the URL displayed in the console. By default it should be http://127.0.0.1:8888 for VirtualBox.

Then go to the first tab "get started" and click the "View Advance Options". This will list a collection of additional URLs and credentials for additional tools in the sandbox including shell in the box. The URL to shell in the box should be http://127.0.0.1:4200/

Fyi, in regards to Rafael's comments, the article explaining it is here..https://community.hortonworks.com/content/kbentry/... Also there is a quick link in the advance tab of the splash page on http:// <Sandbox ip> :8888

@Suresh Raju to add some color to what Neeraj provided. To get Sandbox.hortonworks.com:4200 to resolve you will need to update your host file to map the IP address the VM starts on to sandbox.hortonworks.com (see https://www.petri.com/easily-edit-hosts-file-windo... ). Alternatively, as Neeraj suggested, you can just reference the IP address the VM starts up on, which in this case is 127.0.0.1 (localhost).
