network setup on linux box

network setup on linux box

New Contributor

I've installed VirtualBox and HDP_2.6_virtualbox_05_05_2017_14_46_00_hdp.ova on a RHEL server that will be accessed from browsers on a different machine. I need to setup the network so it is assigned a valid, reachable ip address (127.0.0.1 obviously doesn't work). I've tried bridged, which gives me a valid address on a windows 7 virtual box, and NAT, which results is to 10.0.12.15 address, and NAT Network, which doesn't work. Is what I need to do possible, and if so what network settings do I need to use?

Thanks
