phoenix namespace enabling error

I have enabled namespcemapping in phoenix by setting the property both on client and server and restarted the server.

<name>phoenix.schema.isNamespaceMappingEnabled</name> <value>true</value> </property>

But when i try to access phoenix using the sqlline client , i see the following error.

Caused by: org.apache.hadoop.hbase.ipc.RemoteWithExtrasException(org.apache.hadoop.hbase.snapshot.RestoreSnapshotException): org.apache.hadoop.hbase.snapshot.RestoreSnapshotException: Couldn't clone the snapshot={ ss=_UPGRADING_TABLE_SYSTEM.CATALOG table=SYSTEM.CATALOG type=DISABLED } on table=SYSTEM:CATALOG

anythoughts on how to fix this issue.

One more observation is if i enable the SYSTEM.CATALOG table using hbase shell and acces phoenix again, i see the following exception

Error: org.apache.hadoop.hbase.snapshot.SnapshotExistsException: org.apache.hadoop.hbase.snapshot.SnapshotExistsException: Snapshot '_UPGRADING_TABLE_SYSTEM.CATALOG' already stored on the filesystem.
