Are you sure that you have deployed the Ranger Database JDBC Driver properly to make sure that the *Correct* JDBC driver is present in the Classpath?
For example if you are using MySQL then you should check the following steps:
Use the following command to confirm that the mysql-connector-java.jar file is in the Java share directory. This command must be run on the server where Ambari server is installed.# ls /usr/share/java/mysql-connector-java.jar
If the file is not in the Java share directory, use the following command to install the MySQL connector .jar file Or the JDBC driver of your version/type of the Database.
# yum install mysql-connector-java*
Use the following command format to set the jdbc/driver/path based on the location of the MySQL JDBC driver .jar file. This command must be run on the server where Ambari server is installed.
# ambari-server setup --jdbc-db=mysql --jdbc-driver=/usr/share/java/mysql-connector-java.jar
.
Also please check if you have used the correct JDBC Driver classname & the JDBC URL for the ranger Audit DB in the configuration : https://hortonworks.com/blog/apache-ranger-audit-framework/

yes,I have done these recently. There is a little difference is that I use the mariadb, the hdp with 2.5.3 and ranger with0.6 install by ambari2.4.2

The possibility is that you might not have used the following correctly while configuring the Maria DB for ranger:
1. Please check the Maria DB connection URL for ranger if it is correct:
example:
jdbc:mariadb://hostname:3306/ranger
2. Maria DB JDBC Driver name
org.mariadb.jdbc.Driver
3. Please make sure that the Maria DB JDBC Driver is installed properly using "ambari-server setup --jdbc-db and --jdbc driver" option?
At last please check the HDP Version that you are using and the Supported Database list:
According to Doc link: * Use of an existing MariaDB 10 database is only supported with HDP 2.6 when running on RHEL/CentOS/Oracle Linux 7 or SLES 12.
