Hi @csegokul It sounds weird Hue behaves this way, I have never heard such thing that you need to logout and log back into Hue to get Hive results, something is not correct. Did Hue report any issues/errors in the interface? Cheers Eric

Hi, Couple of questions: 1. Have you checked HS2 log and see if it complained anything or did beeline reach HS2 at all? I suspect not, but just want to be sure. 2. Based on the code here: https://github.com/cloudera/hive/blob/cdh6.1.0/beeline/src/java/org/apache/hive/beeline/BeeLine.java#L1035-L1048 It looks like that beeline failed to get the connection string. Have you tried to quote the connection string just in case? beeline -u 'jdbc:hive2://hostname.domain.dom:10000' Cheers Eric

Hi Attu, The error is clear that you are missing the MySQL JDBC driver: Caused by: org.datanucleus.store.rdbms.connectionpool.DatastoreDriverNotFoundException: The specified datastore driver ("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver") was not found in the CLASSPATH. Please check your CLASSPATH specification, and the name of the driver. You need to download the driver from here: https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/j/ Please download the latest 5.x version, not 8.x as it is not supported by Cloudera yet. Then put the connector jar file under /usr/share/java on the HMS host and try again to restart HMS to see if it helps. Cheers Eric

Hi, Since you are not using "--query" option, can you share the full error from the launcher log for review? Just trying to get a bigger picture on the issue by checking what happened before and after. Cheers Eric

Hi, You could just set the comment as empty string like "", I am not sure if you can remove the field completely. Cheers Eric

Hi, Can you please share the content of workflow.xml and job.properties files here for me to have a look? Do you use "--query" options in Sqoop? Also, what version of CDH are you using? Cheers Eric

@Kamalindia Have you checked the RM web UI to see how many healthy and unhealthy nodes are reported and if the alert from CM is in sync with what RM is seeing? Have you tried to run any YANR jobs to see if any of them can progress? It is unlikely that all of them are down at the same time, and I am wondering if CM is not reporting correctly. Can you go into individual NodeManger home page in CM and see what are being reported there as well?

Hi, Couple of questions: 1. why you need to use impyla to connect to Hive? Impyla is designed for Impala, not Hive. 2. is port 9443 the correct port for Hive? 3. have you checked on the HiveServer2 log to see what is reported there? Cheers Eric
