You can give that a try, however, I believe hive staging directory should not affect the result. Have you used parquet-tools to analyze the data in the parquet file?

Try to add "ORDER BY abcd" to the query and see if the output changes the order, that will also help to confirm if the text is from the data, not a message produced on Hive side.

I just confirmed that this is for Sqoop2, not Sqoop1, those From and To Links are connector links for Sqoop2 to communicate with data sources, see Sqoop2 doc below: http://sqoop.apache.org/docs/1.99.7/user/Sqoop5MinutesDemo.html However, Sqoop2 has been deprecated since CDH5.9 and will be removed in CDH6. Please see below link for details: https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/release-notes/topics/rg_deprecated.html If you are not using Sqoop2, I suggest you remove it from your cluster to avoid the confusion.

Sorry, but I don't see such menu in CDH5.12 version of Hue 4. I only see below links: Apps >> Editor >> Scheduler Browsers >> Documents >> Files >> Tables >> Jobs >> Security Do I miss anything?

Hi, That looks like it is from the data itself, as it is displayed inside the table with "|" delimiter. It does not seem like a error message to me. Do you get the same output for other tables?

Can you try to run it in beeline and paste the full output to the thread here? We need to isolate if the message is from ODBC driver or Hive itself.

hmm, never seem this before. Are you running Hive CLI or beeline through HS2? If through HS2, can you find the same error message in HS2 server log? Can you copy and paste the full error message in the thread? Does it only happen to query returns a few million rows?
