Did you do the sync DB from CM if you have CM? You might need to export the proper HUE_CONF_DIR before executing the command: http://gethue.com/hue-api-execute-some-builtin-commands/

You can look at https://issues.cloudera.org/browse/HUE-3284 This will be much better than importing jobs, as they could be just linked to the saved query or job, e.g. http://gethue.com/drag-drop-saved-hive-queries-into-your-workflows/ Romain

Currently there is no way to import jobs from the Job Designer in the Workflow Editor. This will be back in Hue 4 though. Romain

'ImportError: cannot import name TGetLogReq' Would you happen to have installed a 3rd party 'impala' package on the Hue machine? About Oozie, this should not happen, but you seem to be on C5.7.0 and C5.8 has been out for 2 weeks.

There is no Hue 3 user guide, Hue 3 has mostly the Documentation menu and blog on http://gethue.com/. Hue 4 will have a proper guide.

Just add a variable in the coordinator editor and switch it to 'Input/Output Parameter'
