@Prakash Punj Yes you are right. In production , we use AD/LDAP sync with Ranger and Ambari so there is no duplicate effort. For testing, you have to create users in both setup. Is there a way to use Federated system, like google / facebook account. ?? No

@Kiran Bollam I searched for local and localFS in that doc...There is no reference to local FS Are you referring to this? -fs <local|namenode:port> specify a namenode

@Shishir Saxena As DBA lead, I would the same. I will create policies and I will define the root and then delegate admins to those policies and other admins based on the role that I defined will manage particular policies... @Sunile Manjee
