yes, Hue is not possible through Ambari. What's the error message are you getting in Hue? Are you able to login? Can you paste last 20 lines of error message from supervisor.log in /usr/lib/hue/logs?

Unfortunately, I didn't test the Charts functionality and installed to test Hive Concurrency issue.

@Tim Dobeck Yes, you can give a try but it's hard to predict upcoming compatibility issues and HDP is also not recommending to do that. Once I installed Hue3.7 in HDP2.2 and didn't see any issues with hive but didn't preform any testing with Oozie

@sameer lail We are using rhive for moving files to HDFS in R . Do we have any additional advantages with rhdfs? just I'm asking to check and to implement in my project as well.

@sankar rao In simple solution you can try this as well. hadoop fs -chmode -R 755 /apps/hive/warehouse/ Here DB owner is going to get read,write and execute, Group & others are going to get read and execute only. you can explore Ranger and ACL functionality as well for implementing different level of access for users.

I'm not sure if we can ignore this alerts but it seems issue with Ambari Alert script and they fixed it in 2.4. I would recommend to check with HDP while creating support ticket to get confirmation.
