@Saurabh Kumar How about enabling the yarn log aggregation? Once your job get completed it will automatically move the job logs from local to HDFS centralize location. http://hortonworks.com/blog/simplifying-user-logs-management-and-access-in-yarn/

@Smart Solutions Spark thrift server is pretty similar to hiveserver2 thrift, rather submitting the sql queries as hive mr job it will use spark SQL engine which underline uses full spark capabilities. As an use case tools like Tableau can easily connect to spark thrift server through ODBC driver just like hiveserver2 and access the hive or spark temp tables to run the sql queries on spark framework.

@sarfarazkhan pathan Two options: 1. Either you can enable the passwordless ssh on ambari host and register it through ambari. 2. @Liam MacInnes It probably a jar conflict issue or jar file is missing, may be you have two different versions of mysql-connector-java.jar file. Therefore please search inside /usr/hdp/current/hive* directory for mysql connector jar file.

Seems to be an issue with stale WAL splits, try removing WAL's from below hdfs location and restart the Hbase master and region services. /apps/hbase/data/WALs/
