Hi @kkawamura do you have to have external software like HAProxy for load balancing to work in a HDF cluster, when it comes to ListenX type processor situations ? HDF, in combination with Zookeeper would not be able to handle this? Thanks

Thanks @Pierre Villard, I read the article, it is talking about NiFi Kafka integration (within HDF cluster), which is quite helpful. But my interest is still regarding the interface between the HDF cluster and the sending system. Is it possible to setup a virtual IP on the HDF Cluster, so that the sending system can send messages to that IP? if it is possible to do that, would that be done by a system level application (at the OS level) or HDF can do that ? sorry for my ignorance, but I'm not very knowledgeable about networking and IPs, etc.

@Pierre Villard As you were saying about needing a load balancer anytime using a ListenX processor and giving a Virtual IP to your sending system, is Kafka, which is now part of HDF, able to act as a load balancer ? or it has to be something external, like HAProxy? Thanks.

thanks @Matt I was aware of the banner text, but we're actually using it for a Security Disclaimer; is it possible to display disclaimer text on the NiFi login screen before you get to the the canvas; if that's doable then we can use banner text for identifying the environment rather than the disclaimer.

Hello, Just wondering if there is a way to help developers identify in which NiFi UI canvas they are on - Dev, Test, Prod; this is to help prevent developers from accidentally making changes in the wrong environments if they have multiple environments' canvases open; ideally a place like the top left corner where the NiFi logo is would be a good place to identify the environment; I checked the nifi properties file and other than the banner (which is a very small size font) I didn't find any other property where you can have a custom text/image/logo on the canvas. Also, I thought about the Label, but you've to add that inside each process group for it to be useful. Any ideas on how this can be done? Thanks.

Thanks @Matt, parsing the nifi-app.log sounds like a better approach to capture errors at each processor and be able to know where the flowfile failed. Perhaps Splunk might be a good fit for this task.

Hi @Balakrishnan Ramasamy, do you know where I can find documentation about the 'error' attribute; I was looking in the NiFi documentation and it does not show the 'error' as an available attribute. Thanks.
