Hi @tiny_uuuuuu,     Unfortunately you are hitting a known Cloudera Manager bug which has been reported internally and engineering is working on to fix this problem in future release. You may have to use Dynamic Resource Pools for now: https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/latest/topics/cm_mc_resource_pools.html     Thanks and hope this helps, Li

Hi @xBigDatax,     You can take a look at BDR feature (which should handle HDFS, Hive, Impala) since you are using Cloudera Manager: https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/6/latest/topics/cm_bdr_about.html https://blog.cloudera.com/blog/2016/08/considerations-for-production-environments-running-cloudera-backup-and-disaster-recovery-for-apache-hive-and-hdfs/     For search, you can take a look at this blog: https://blog.cloudera.com/blog/2017/05/how-to-backup-and-disaster-recovery-for-apache-solr-part-i/ and public doc: https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/6/latest/topics/search_backup_restore.html     For HBase, you can take a look at this: https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/6/latest/topics/cdh_bdr_hbase_replication.html     You can also explore the distcp tool which is a general utility for copying large data sets between distributed filesystems within and across clusters. https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/6/6.1/topics/cdh_admin_distcp_cdh.html     Thanks and hope this helps, Li

Hi @Travis,     What is your CDH version? After you added hbase thrift server role, did you make sure to do below? Go to Hue service > Configuration > Service-Wide and check that HBase Service and HBase Thrift Server both have an appropriate instance selected and that it is not None.     Also, can you please provide us the /var/log/hue/runcpserver.log from the Hue server for review? What was the detail error message you got from Hue UI when you tried to browse Hbase table?     Thanks, Li

Hi @xBigDatax,        What data are we talking about here? HDFS, Hive, HBase, Impala, Search etc? I assume you are not using Cloudera Manager?     Thanks, Li

Hi @Timothy,     What you are doing now is the only option until a CDH release with HUE-7407. The fix is in CDH 6.1 release. Please consider to upgrade for the fix.     Thanks and hope this helps, Li

Hi @Anudas,     As far as our pubic doc says CDHv6.x does support CentOS 7.6, 7.5, 7.4, 7.3, 7.2. Please refer to below two urls:     6.1: https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/6/release-notes/topics/rg_os_requirements.html#c61_supported_os 6.0: https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/6/release-notes/topics/rg_os_requirements.html#c60_supported_os     Thanks and hope this helps, Li

Hi @yellowD,     From the output, it looks like you are using CDH5.15.1. Please confirm if it is not.     Starting from CDH 5.12.2, 5.13.1, or later versions of CDH, it is no longer necessary to export the HUE_CONF_DIR, HUE_DATABASE_PASSWORD, and HUE_IGNORE_PASSWORD_SCRIPT_ERRORS environment variables.     Instead, from the Hue sever, run the following as the root user (due to security settings of CM process directories): /opt/cloudera/parcels/CDH/lib/hue/build/env/bin/hue changepassword <USER-TO-CHANGE> --cm-managed So if you want to change the password for user named "admin", then run the command like this: /opt/cloudera/parcels/CDH/lib/hue/build/env/bin/hue changepassword admin --cm-managed     See my test result below: # /opt/cloudera/parcels/CDH/lib/hue/build/env/bin/hue changepassword admin --cm-managed
Changing password for user 'admin'

Password changed successfully for user 'admin' Thanks and hope this helps, Li

Hi @maziyar,     Thanks for getting back with the previous CDH version. We will try to replicate the upgrade to see whether the issue is reproducible. Will report back with our findings.     Thanks, Li
