Hi @Thrisha, From the same link you pasted, it says: Python - Cloudera Enterprise 6, with the exception of Hue, is supported on the Python version that is included in the operating system by default, as well as higher versions, but is not compatible with Python 3.0 or higher. For example, Cloudera Enterprise 6 requires Python 2.6 or higher on RHEL 6 compatible operating systems, but requires Python 2.7 or higher on RHEL 7 compatible operating systems. Hue in CDH 6 requires Python 2.7 or higher on all operating systems. For RHEL 6 compatible operating systems running Hue, you must manually install Python 2.7. Based on above, you need to follow the link to manually install Python 2.7 for Hue to work in CDH 6. Thanks and hope this helps, Li

Hi @Travis, Thanks for the solution. This is great information. @ylchew93, thank you for confirming the solution. That is helpful. For your information, I did some further investigation, and found out: 1) Starting Cloudera Manager 6.x, hbase.regionserver.thrift.compact propery is set to true by default; 2) From HUE-2692, it looks like Hue has not supported TCompactProtocol protocol yet. I will file a internal jira on this and see how we can improve in the future. Thanks! Li

Hi @nkp, What is your Cloudera Manager version? To follow up with gziglgldrum's post, in case you can not access the article, here are some details copied from there: To configure the maximum heap size of the SCM process, please do: 1) Edit the CMF_JAVA_OPTS property in the /etc/default/cloudera-scm-server file. 2) Alter last line of the file: export CMF_JAVA_OPTS="-Xmx2G -XX:MaxPermSize=256m ..." 3) To configure more heap memory to Cloudera Manager, please change -Xmx2G to bigger value. For example, -Xmx4G. Note: -Xmx2G option specifies 2 GB of RAM. 4) Restart Cloudera Manager by running below command: sudo service cloudera-scm-server restart You may also want to read this documentation to find out what is the recommended heap size for your Cloudera Manager: https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/6/release-notes/topics/rg_hardware_requirements.html#sizing_cm_server_reqs Thanks and hope this helps, Li

Hello, Yes, adding search to blacklist did resolve the issue. I still don't know where the solr_url is coming without ever installing it but the issue has been resolved. Many thanks.
